Solar Panel Installation Guide - Step By Step Process

Solar panels can be used for electricity generation, both for commercial and residential use. The Photovoltaic Panel can be installed on the Roof Top in both cases to receive maximum sunlight and generate the most electricity.

These are the steps required to complete the installation process.

Step-1: Mount Installation

First, fix the mounting brackets that will hold the Solar Panels. It could be flush mounts or Roof-ground mounts, depending on what you need. The base structure gives support and stability. It is important to choose the right direction for the installation of the PV panels, monocrystalline or polycrystalline. The best place to install solar panels in the Northern Hemisphere is the south, as it receives the most sunlight. You can also face solar panels in the West and East directions. The best direction for countries in the Southern Hemisphere is North.

The mounting structure should be slightly tilted. The tilt angle can be anywhere from 18 to 36 degrees. To increase their conversion efficiency, many companies use a solar tracker.

Step 2: Install the Solar Panels

Next, attach the solar panels to the mounting structure. You will tighten the nuts and bolts. It is important to properly secure the structure so it lasts.

Step 3: Conduct Electrical Wiring

The next step is to conduct the electrical wiring. Because these connectors can be used with any type of solar panel, universal connectors such as MC4 are useful in wiring. The following series can be used to connect these panels:

  1. Series Connection. In this instance, the Positive ( +), Wire of one PV module is connected with the Negative ( -_ Wire) of another module. This wiring improves the voltage match to the battery bank.
  2. Parallel Connection: This is where Positive (+) is connected to Positive (+), and Negative (+) to Negative (+). The wiring voltage for each panel is the same.

Step 4: Connect the Solar Inverter to the System

The next step is to connect your system to a sin inverter. The positive wire from the solar panel connects to the Positive terminal and the negative wire is connected to the Negative terminal.

To produce electricity, the solar inverter must be connected to the Solar Battery and Grid input.

Step 5: Connect Solar Inverter to Solar Battery

Next, connect the solar inverter to the battery. The battery's positive terminal is connected to the inverter's positive terminal. To store backup electricity, a battery is required in an off-grid solar system.

Step 6: Connect the Solar Inverter to The Grid

The next step is to connect your inverter to the grid. A normal plug is used for this connection. An output wire is connected to an electric board that supplies electricity to your home.

Step: 7: Start Solar Inverter

Once all the wiring and connections have been completed, it's time to turn the inverter switch ON the Main Switch of the home. Many solar inverters have a digital display that shows you the generation and usage statistics.
