Documentary on Four Seasons Total Landscaping in the Works
Four Seasons Total Landscaping is still benefiting from its heightened presence thanks to the clumsy Trump 2020 campaign. Since the humble Philadelphia store became the casual location of a Rudy Giuliani press conference in November, the company has been at it with exclusive merch and this saucy Super Bowl “Opportunity Knocks” ad for Fiverr set. The debacle that started this whole thing will now be the focus of a new documentary by two Oscar winners.
The film in production, entitled Four Seasons Total Documentary, is being shot by Christopher Stoudt (patron saint of Jazz Fest). Glen Zipper and Sean Stuart, who won the Academy Awards in 2012 for their high school football Doc Undefeated, are serving as producers (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Four Seasons Total Landscaping rose to cultural awareness after Trump’s legal team held a press conference there about their still ludicrous and possibly illegal claims of election fraud. The common assumption became that Trump’s people wanted to book Philly’s Four Seasons Hotel, but their ubiquitous ineptitude led them to lock themselves into a humble landscaping company instead.
A press release announcing the documentary said: “The film will tell firsthand the roller coaster ride that a well-meaning small business in Philadelphia went through when it agreed to win one in the midst of the toughest American election Political press conference to be held in recent history. “
Production is expected to cease this month. No distributor has signed up yet, although given the continued interest in this wild moment of political theater too real to be parodied, someone is sure to pick it up soon.
