Four Seasons Total Landscaping Partnering With Local Organizations To Connect Philadelphians With Full-Time Jobs – CBS Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The landscaping company, known as the site of a controversial election press conference, works with local organizations to help people find work.

A professional skills training event sponsored by Four Seasons Total Landscaping is designed to marry people with available jobs and train those employees for sustainable full-time jobs in the landscaping industry.

A full-time job with benefits is harder to come by in the middle of the pandemic, but there is light at the end of the tunnel for those who might be considering a career in landscaping.

“The program is designed to help people get what they want next,” said Joshua Park, senior manager of strategy and partnerships for the West Philadelphia Skills Initiative.

Four Seasons Total Landscaping can ring a bell. The company gained worldwide attention after the infamous press conference of former President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani. The female-owned company actually offers a wide variety of jobs for other Philadelphians.

“At Philadelphia International Airport, we have the ground maintenance contract there through Elliott-Lewis,” said Sean Middleton, Sales Director at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, “and we recently started maintaining the green rainwater infrastructure.”

It has now partnered with the West Philadelphia Skills Initiative and the Navy Yard Workforce Development Initiative to create an intensive program that delivers results, with 95% of participants being linked to employment upon successful completion of the program.

“The job opportunities are real and they are there for you to deserve if you are accepted into the program,” said Park.

All of this is made possible by a $ 1.5 million investment from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. Graduates can interview for worker positions from $ 14 per hour.

“They did a great landscaping job for us down there, so it only made sense to speak to them,” said Jennifer Tran, Navy Yard’s director of marketing and communications.

Further initiatives are being planned. In the meantime, the training for the session lasts three weeks from late February to mid-March.
