A nondescript stretch of State Road in northeast Philadelphia is broadcast to millions of viewers around the world in a Super Bowl LV commercial featuring Four Seasons Total Landscaping.
The ad for Fiverr, an online marketplace connecting freelancers with businesses with available appearances, is in the now infamous parking lot where Rudy Giuliani was holding a press conference on the Trump campaign when the race for President Joe Biden was scheduled.
Under the motto “Small Biz Goes Big”, the SB55 commercial is intended to show the co-owner of Total Landscaping, Marie Siravo, herself.
The family-owned company capitalized on its unexpected fame and turned it into a positive opportunity by launching a range of merchandise, joking with fans on social media, and partnering with the West Philadelphia Skills Initiative on a paid education program for city residents who did it looking into the industry.
In the teaser for the Fiverr commercial, the camera focuses on the same green garage walls and multi-pane windows that formed the backdrop for the campaign event.
It’s early morning, depending on the weak sky, chirping birds and barking dogs. With some creaking and popping, the garage slowly begins to open. The music swells and a glow peeks out from behind the roller door, like a scene from the X-Files.
The door opens fully to reveal a silhouetted woman (Siravo?) Standing behind a desk (or is it a tricycle?) In front of a long Deep Space 9 style corridor.
What’s next? If you are the one who watches the Super Bowl for the ads, you will soon find out.
Since the November weekend it was put on the world map, the 29-year-old family gardening company has been featured in a viral charity run, has become a popular website for suggestions and engagement photos, has been converted into international sculpture and written about in almost large English language news publications and many other.
The Lombardi Trophy between former Temple FB coach Bruce Arians with the Buccaneers led by Tom Brady and former head coach of the Eagles, Andy Reid with the Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes, ends on Sunday, February 7th, kicking off at 18 : 30 o’clock
With more than 100 million viewers expected, the big game will be Total Landscaping’s biggest success to date.
The online merch shop is currently “closed” and offers a teaser to look for something cool this coming Super Bowl Sunday.
