PHOTOS: Aerial View Shows Continued Construction and Landscaping Added to Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Hotel

Construction of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Hotel continues. This hotel will be a truly unique and complete experience that will take guests to a galaxy far, far away for a two night stay.

Thanks to Jonathan Salazar for these updated construction photos, we can see that landscaping is being added to the new resort’s grounds. Trees now line the entire entrance area, blocking the view from elements that could affect the immersive experience.

Paving is also in progress as a sidewalk now extends from Porte Cochère to the front of the resort. The floor under the Porte Cochère appears to be filled with concrete, as does the entire bus stop area on the left in the photo below.

Construction work on the shuttle stop in front of the hotel recently continued. From this dock, guests board a shuttle service that takes them straight to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As far as we know, the Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser Hotel will open later this year. Walt Disney World recently posted a job advertisement seeking a hotel manager for the resort. We hope this is a sign that the hotel is opening sooner rather than later.

Disney executives recently gave us a glimpse into the two cabin types available at the hotel and we look forward to seeing how the advances continue.
