Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service acquires Jacquelyn Nooney Landscape

Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service of Eliot, Maine, has acquired Jacquelyn Nooney Landscape (JNL), also of Eliot, Maine. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

Jacquelyn Nooney founded JNL in 1984. In a letter to her client, Nooney wrote: “After 38 years of designing, building, maintaining gardens and managing snow on the seashore, I have decided to retire.”

Nooney said their decision to sell their business to Piscataqua Landscaping was made because they “are the only company in the area that can continue to provide quality service [JNL customers] are used to it. “

JNL has switched most of its employees to Piscataqua since the beginning of the year to ensure a seamless transition and to keep the teams in place for the existing JNL clientele.

“We’ve worked in the same neighborhoods and with some of the same clients as Jackie over the years. This was an opportunity that fits very well with our commitment to excellence in providing landscaping, tree maintenance and snow management services across the Seacoast region, ”said Justin Gamester, President and CEO of Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service. “We are honored to continue the good work that the JNL team has become known for over the past four decades and we plan to continue this commitment for many years to come.”

James Higgins, Partner at Chenmark, the parent company of Piscataqua, said, “It is an honor to welcome JNL to the Piscataqua family, where Justin and his management team have a proven track record of providing great customer service and a great work environment for employees . Chenmark was established to support transactions like this one and we look forward to working on similar transactions with all of our companies in the future. “
